In other words, <code>val ^ first<sub>i</sub> == second<sub>i</sub></code>.</p>\n\n<p>The answer to the <code>i<sup>th</sup></code> query is the endpoints (<strong>0-indexed</strong>) of the substring <code>[left<sub>i</sub>, right<sub>i</sub>]</code> or <code>[-1, -1]</code> if no such substring exists.
